When Billy turns Patrick's offer of a meal out, Patrick has to explain to him that he can't do anything else because the kitchen still isn't finished. Billy invites Moira round for a meal, but only gives her a packet of crisps and makes her watch Alien. She refuses to share her stir fry with him, but happily offers Patrick some.
Maria makes Patrick feel guilty about not working and so when Joe worries that he hasn't he tries got anyone to take with him to play poker with his Priest friends, she tells him to take Patrick. Patrick jokes about using congregation money, an allegation which Joe takes very seriously.
Billy and Helen talk about dinner parties and entertaining, so he invites everyone round the next evening despite his inability to cook! Billy takes his hosting duties very seriously as he wants to borrow Moira's glasses at midnight, but he nearly forgets to invite Joe and Maria. Helen shows a surprising ability at poker at the party.
