Multitude Media, the publicity company which looks after many comedy shows and comedians, is to open an office in Manchester.

Following a significant period of growth for the company, the award-winning entertainment PR agency will officially launch Multitude Media North this June, to "build on the increased presence of the media industry and entertainment sector in the North and beyond."

The company, which was established in 2012 by Will Wood, offers PR services across four divisions - film, live, personal and television publicity - and is set to expand its offering to clients based in the North of England and Scotland, with a core focus of TV and film.

The Northern team will be headed up by Director Charlotte Prentice, reporting in to Managing Director Will Wood and TV Publicity Manager, Amanda Hearn, and working in tandem with the London-based team. Multitude Media North will be based out of Colony Jactin House in Manchester.

Will Wood says: "I'm from the North, set up the company in Manchester and have always had one eye on how we expand what we do outside of London. Everybody can see the exciting changes happening across the industry and building a presence in the North will enable us to work with new companies, as well as strengthening the services we can offer existing clients."

Charlotte Prentice, who was previously with Zero Degrees West, says: "I am thrilled to have joined Multitude Media at such an exciting time of expansion and, not only that, to be able to open our doors in Manchester. The industry in the North is growing at such a vast rate and it only feels right for us to have a base there."

Multitude's recent TV and film campaigns include Fleabag, Man Like Mobeen, Back To Life and Stan & Ollie.

Their live work includes looking after the publicity for tours including Jack Whitehall, Joe Lycett, Dylan Moran, Sara Pascoe and Harry Hill.

Their roster for the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe includes Adam Hess, Adam Riches, Desiree Burch, Jen Brister, Jess Robinson, Jessica Fostekew, John Robins, London Hughes, Lou Sanders, Max & Ivan and Tom Rosenthal.
