Making A Scene Of It - Daily Emails

Dave Cohen

To link in with the Making A Scene Of It competition, Dave Cohen is sending out daily emails with tips and tasks, to help you prepare your entry.

The emails on Monday to Thursday focus on an aspect of scene writing, and Fridays are Q&A day where Dave answers any questions.

He says: "I'm excited to be doing this, I ran a series of emails in the summer about sitcom writing and really enjoyed the process, and received tons of positive feedback so here we are again."

The emails started on 26th October, and finish on 13th November. The schedule is:

Week 1: Looking at the bigger picture and how the two-minute scene fits into it.

Week 2 (this week): Examining one sitcom episode in detail: Ink And Incapability from Blackadder Series 3.

Week 3: Bringing together all the elements, to make sure nothing is missing from your finished entry.

If you haven't already, get involved by signing up to the mailing list via the Making A Scene Of It competition page. For those that didn't join on Day 1, here's links to the previous emails, to help you catch-up.
