Casarotto Ramsay & Associates expands its comedy division

Comedy agents Chris Lander and Kate Watson are joining leading UK literary and talent agency Casarotto Ramsay & Associates.

The duo will be joining forces with Casarotto's existing comedy agents Abby Singer and Emma Obank to create a brand-new comedy performance arm.

They bring to the agency their existing list of clients, which includes stand-ups including Felicity Ward, Alex Edelman, Mat Ewins, Sindhu Vee, Deborah Frances-White, Chris Washington and many others.

The team's expansion follows the recent move of Casarotto's London headquarters from its longtime home in Soho, to a much larger premises within the Grade II listed Savoy Court on the Strand. They say the move "marks a natural evolution for the company", which currently represents over 700 clients worldwide. Casarotto Ramsay also celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Chris and Kate have been discovering and developing new talent at Phil McIntyre Management since 2010.

Casarotto Ramsay notes: "Since 2012 their clients have amassed a staggering 11 x Best Show nominations and 4 x Best Newcomer nominations at the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards (formally the Perrier Awards) and achieved victory in both categories in 2014 and 2017.

"Chris and Kate specialise in all aspects of comedy performance management, including live stand-up and touring, TV appearances, festival appearances, international bookings, radio presenting, corporate performances and acting across stage, television, film and commercials. Chris has been an Executive producer on TV shows across multiple platforms including James Acaster: Repertoire for Netflix."
