Associated-Rediffusion was the British Independent Television (ITV) contractor for London's weekday service from launch (1955) until 1964, when it became Rediffusion London. In 1968, ABC and Rediffusion London merged, creating Thames Television.
The name is now owned by Victor Lewis-Smith. Whilst he uses the same logo, name and branding, the two companies should not be confused.
