The Tommy Steele Collection

A collection of films featuring the British entertainer and singer.

In The Duke Wore Jeans (1958), Steele plays Tommy Hudson, a cockney lad who pretends to be a Lord in order to woo a South American princess.

In It's All Happening (1963), Steele plays a talent scout for a record company who manages to save an orphanage from closure whilst also making himself a star at the same time.

The Tommy Steele Story (1957), is a quasi-autobiographical pop musical, in which Steele plays a young merchant seaman who discovers he has a certain way with the guitar. When posted to the West Indies young Tommy discovers the affecting and sensual rhythms of calypso and starts to write his own tunes in the same style. On his return to London Tommy hits the big time when his talent is spotted, and the songs prove a hit with the kids.

Finally, in Tommy The Toreador (1959), Steele plays a sailor who, on shore leave in Seville, takes the place of a recently arrested matador at a local bullfight.
