It has been announced that Chris Ramsey's latest stand-up show will be filmed for TV broadcast.

Chris Ramsey Live Special: 2019 will be filmed in front of a "very special homecoming crowd" at the Newcastle Tyne Theatre on Thursday 27th June.

The recording of the TV special follows on from his sell-out 106 date nationwide tour, Chris Ramsey Live 2018: The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour.

Which TV channel has picked up the rights to the show has yet to be revealed. Ramsey's last stand-up show was made for Comedy Central.

His promoters say of the recording: "Expect more of Chris's high energy, life affirming, trademark stand up as he gives us his hilarious take on everything from the big issues to the small issues to the issues that need tissues."

Ramsey himself says: "I'm absolutely over the moon to be filming a brand new stand up special for 2019. I'm thrilled to be recording in front of my hometown crowd too, and very much look forward to seeing the smattering of angry faces that always appear in the audience when I slightly tweak my accent so that the rest of the world can understand me."
