Manchester-based stand-up Jack Gleadow has won his second new comedian award in as many weeks.

The Hull native was previously named New Comedian of the Year at the Great Yorkshire Fringe, and has today picked up the title of Amused Moose National New Comic 2017.

In a final and awards ceremony held at the Edinburgh Fringe, recent English graduate Rob Oldham was chosen as Amused Moose's Breakthrough Comic award winner.

The finalists beat 500+ entrants who submitted videos or attended live auditions, before live quarter- and semi-finals in May, with winners chosen based on the votes of an "eminent comedy industry panel", including agents, critics and live comedy bookers from around the UK.

The other five finalists were Helen Duff, Huge Davies,Joseph Emslie, Michael Clarke, Olga Koch, Rosie Jones and Sam Whyte.

Ian Smith hosted the final, with trophies presented by the founder of Pleasance, Christopher Richardson.
