Quarantine questions: Joey Page

Interview with the stand-up Joey Page.

Becca Moody, Moody Comedy, 7th September 2020

Interview: Joey Page

Joey Page found himself in quite a unique position on the day he recorded his stand up special for Nextup as Boris Johnson had just announced that everyone should "Stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel... You should avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues", and so his sold out gig ended up being performed to a much smaller audience, and became a little different to the one he'd prepared.

Kate Copstick's diary: size doesn't matter

I was chatting with Simon Munnery about small audiences - not that he is an expert on that. He told me Eugene Cheese of the Chuckle Club would cancel if there were fewer than 30 in the audience. Unbelievable now.
