Daisy May Cooper voices Impedimenta in Asterix & Obelix series
It's been revealed that Daisy May Cooper voices the character of Impedimenta in new Netflix series Astérix & Obélix: The Big Fight.
The This Country star takes on the role of the matriarchal wife of Chief Vitalstatistix (voiced by John Wark) in the English language version of the series.
The cast also includes Bridgerton actor Ruby Barker as Metadata, with Haydn Oakley voicing Astérix and Ben Crowe as Obélix.
Based on the best-selling French comic album series, Astérix & Obélix: The Big Fight debuts on Netflix tomorrow (30th April 2025).
Netflix says: "Directors Alain Chabat and Fabrice Joubert bring the beloved universe of our Gauls back to the screen in this new epic animated series, which promises to bring the whole family together while reigniting the humour and spirit of adventure that have captivated generations of loyal fans around the world."
The plot for the series is described as follows: "Rome is desperate to conquer the last independent village in Gaul and the home of Asterix and Obelix. The secret to the Gauls' battle superiority is a magic potion, but when the potion master loses his memory, the villagers are left to their own devices against the might of Rome."
