Comedians to star in Celebrity Traitors

The line-up for Celebrity Traitors has been revealed. The comedy-related names taking part in the hit BBC show are:
The nine-part series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, is filming at Ardross Castle in Scotland.
Tameka Empson, who starred in sketch show 3 Non-Blondes before becoming a regular in EastEnders, is also amongst the line-up and the game of deceit will also feature Olympic diver Tom Daley, rugby player Joe Marler, historian David Olusoga, Sidemen YouTuber Niko Omilana, presenter Clare Balding, singer Paloma Faith, actor Ruth Codd, singer Charlotte Church, presenter Kate Garraway and pop star Cat Burns.

The BBC says: "The celebrities will play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice."
Claudia Winkleman comments: "We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I'd love to say we'll take it easy on them and they'll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie."
The Mirror had reported that Bob Mortimer will be involved, however this turned out not to be the case. Writing on social media, Mortimer said: "I'm no Traitor (sadly). I've got FOMO looking at the Celebrity Traitors line-up. I was asked if I wanted to do it, but said no as I couldn't commit the time. I hadn't watched it then (but watched the last series after that & loved it) so now feel a little gutted - though I still don't have the time. Sigh!"
The series will be shown on BBC One in the autumn.
