The complete timeline of Souvenir Programme series nine

Well, since you ask me for a final timeline for the events of John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, Series 9, we now have had a hundred and twenty-two years of family history of the Noones, the Nightingales, the Wilkinsons, the Goldings and the Goldfarbs, from John Finnemore and his troop, here's my best stab at creating a chronology, with advice, corrections, and additions from many.

John Finnemore's Flying Visit review

As a darling of Radio 4, and with several awards to his name too, John Finnemore is right up there as one of the country's most successful comics. His appeal has always mystified me, though, and his debut tour show did nothing to change that, rarely raising above the limp and extremely ordinary.

A BBC Radio 4 comedy show that remained funny throughout. In John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, the comedy writer and actor - best known for the radio sitcom Cabin Pressure and being a regular guest on The Now Show - returns for a third series.

Along with Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Simon Kane, Lawry Lewin and Carrie Quinlan, Finnemore proves that the combination of witty writing and fine performers is a whole lot funnier than those comedians so in love with their own material they forget the audience are supposed to like it, too. A sketch about how Google has killed off the art of brilliantly stupid arguments in pubs was a particular favourite.
