BBC2's latest instalment in a string of upmarket sitcoms sees Alan Davis don chef's whites and a dodgy flash of facial fuzz to play Roland White, head chef at the titular swanky rural restaurant. Davies is as engaging as ever in tonight's opening episode which provides a first course that's heavy on charm, if light on belly laughs, although it certainly whets the appetite for the series ahead.
