John Cleese interview

John Cleese talks to Eddie Izzard about the time Monty Python failed to make an audience laugh despite betting on it, working with Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe, the talents of The Two Ronnies, and Monty Python Live.

Cleese was talking to Izzard to highlight the publication of his autobiography So, Anyway.... The book, published on the 9th October 2014, is a must read for comedy fans worldwide. For the first time, the comedy star tells the story of how a tall, shy youth from Weston-super-Mare went on to become a self-confessed legend. En route, John Cleese describes his nerve-racking first public performance at St Peter's Preparatory School at the age of eight and five-sixths; his first experiences in the world of work as a teacher who knew nothing about the subjects he was expected to teach; and his first encounter with his writing partner for over two decades, Graham Chapman.
