Series 2 of From The Oasthouse, The Alan Partridge Podcast will launch on Audible in September.

Audible confirms: "Following the triumphant success of his first award-winning foray into podcasting (The Independent: 'up there with his funniest work'), Alan Partridge will be back once again, offering his unique perspective on life's big questions, the hot-button issues of the day, his professional successes and the most intimate details of his personal life in a series he is already calling 'seminal'.

"Across 11 episodes, the second series will come partly from the Oasthouse - in order to satisfy people who'd rather he didn't mess with the format - and partly from other locations - to appeal to those who found the original format a bit limiting.

"Dedicated to the rich heritage of the podcasting format, each episode sees Alan record the most intimate details of his personal life, through a fascinating series of conversations and richly sound-designed audio vignettes. After which, to quote Alan, 'audio is sent directly to Audible to ensure it meets the technical specifications laid down in his contract'."

Alan Partridge says: "When it comes to podcasting I was a late adopter. I believed - like millions of others - that the future of broadcasting lay in hologram technology. Over a decade later and with Peartree Holograms now dissolved, I can see that I backed the wrong horse, just as I had with Betamax. Now, I have thrown my all into podcasting and am pleased to be considered one of finest podcasters of all time. My new series will cement that legacy."

Steve Coogan is currently performing Alan Partridge: Stratagem at arenas around the country.

The new episodes, written by Steve Coogan, Rob Gibbons and Neil Gibbons, add up to a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes of content. The podcast is available to pre-order now via Audible for £19.99. Members of the Amazon-owned service will be able to download the series as one of their credits.

Series 1 of From The Oasthouse, The Alan Partridge Podcast is still available to stream/download.

From The Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast

Broadcaster, writer, philanthroper and one of the first public figures to suggest high-visibility clothing for people manning temporary car parks, the public Alan Partridge is a cherished institution.

But what of the unseen Alan?

For the first time, this famously private man welcomes us into his home and audibly deshrouds himself for a fascinating series of podcasts. Over the course of 18 generously-durated episodes, Partridge grants us full and unfettered access to his off-screen life (within reason). In exchange for a series of payments from Audible, he promises an access-all-areas pass to the nooks and crannies of his hinterland, to reveal a wiser, cleverer, more reflective Alan than many of his more vaunted peers have given him credit for. He then sends the resultant podcasts to Audible ensuring they meet the technical specifications laid down in the contract.

Not in the UK?

Fear not! Many items can still be ordered. Amazon in the UK delivers to many international territories, whilst their Australia, USA and Canada stores also supply many equivalent or imported items.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
