Big Field, the surreal online comedy series, is set to return to BBC Three for another series.

Created by Darren Dutton and Jonny Roberts, the show mixes audio mashed up from popular TV programmes together with live action sequences. The new episodes are again set in a field, and use props that have been bought from auction websites for very little money.

Big Field initially launched as an independent show in 2015 and soon attracted a cult following, with Peter Serafinowicz, Matt Lucas, Robert Popper, Mark Gatiss and Bob Mortimer amongst the show's fans. BBC Three picked up the format in 2016, publishing five episodes online in the summer. Following the success of the last series, the BBC has now funded filming on an extended-length second series.

Dutton and Roberts have just completed ten new episodes, each 2 minutes long, which feature absurd parodies of shows such as Pointless and Judge Rinder.

Richard David-Caine, Liam Hourican, Marek Larwood, Evelyn Mok, Alison Ward and Tony Way are the cast joining the creators in the new episodes.

Speaking to British Comedy Guide, Dutton and Roberts say: "The sketches in these new episodes are the weirdest yet. We may have out-weirded ourselves."

The new series of Big Field is due to be published on the BBC Three YouTube channel later in the year.
