In My Skin review

Even when laying bare the bleak realities of teenage life in the wreckage of Britain's forgotten places, Kayleigh Llewellyn's five-part drama is filled with tenderness.

Annie Lord, The Independent, 2nd April 2020

TV review: In My Skin

High school dramas featuring Geeks getting ghosted by Populars but finding a way to survive their school years are ten a penny but In My Skin, set in a believably grotty Welsh secondary school, does bring some fresh twists to the prom party.

Keith Watson, Metro, 1st April 2020

In My Skin, BBC One, review

Welsh school comedy is an absolute joy.

Kayleigh Llewellyn on In My Skin

The TV drama's creator was surviving on charity. Then she turned her troubled Cardiff childhood into a rollercoaster ride through school crushes, sexuality - and bipolar disorder.
