BBC Sounds launches stand-up feed The Comedy Circuit
BBC Sounds has launched The Comedy Circuit, a feed for the stand-up specials it has acquired.
The BBC says: "We've just launched The Comedy Circuit, a brand new comedy feed celebrating the best in stand-up, licensed from some of the UK's top comedians.
"The feed has kicked off in style with Snappy - a four-part special from the brilliant Suzi Ruffell. And that's just the beginning! You'll also hear from comedy legends like Romesh Ranganathan, Jimmy Carr and Sarah Millican, with brand new specials landing each month.
"The Comedy Circuit is all about bringing the buzz of live stand-up straight to our audiences - wherever they are. BBC Sounds listeners can sit back, relax, and enjoy the magic of live comedy from some of the biggest (and funniest!) names on the circuit."
Producer Caroline McEvoy says: "We are thrilled to bring our first non-podcast acquisition onto BBC Sounds, and particularly excited that this innovative feed will feature brilliant acts from across the UK, including some of the biggest names in comedy, as well as highlighting rising stars."
