We've teamed up with card company thortful to launch a competition in which BCG Pro members can win cash prizes for thinking up new birthday card captions. On top of that, winners will see their card put on sale and earn royalties!

We've teamed up with streaming experts NextUp to launch a virtual comedy festival, running from Monday September 28th until Sunday October 4th. There'll be comedy shows at 9pm each night, but as a comedy creator you might be particularly interested in the 7pm Q&A sessions. Podcasting, going viral online, radio comedy and comedy writing are amongst the topics. Guests include Kiri Prichard-McLean, Laura Lexx, Joel Morris, Neil Webster, and more.

Newsjack

Newsjack opens for entries Friday 18th

The BBC's open door topical sketch show Newsjack returns later this month. It'll be open for submissions from Friday 18th - that's next week. If you're a BCG Pro member, you can access more than 80 pages of sketch writing advice (including a section dedicated to Newsjack) in our Skills Academy Tutorials section.
