Rentadick

Rentadick

Pre-order. Blu-ray, DVD

Originally scripted by comedy legends John Cleese and Graham Chapman, this hilarious farce was the first of only two main features from cult director (and Oscar-winning editor) Jim Clark.

Starring James Booth, Richard Briers and Richard Beckinsale as three hapless private investigators, Rentadick is featured here as a brand new high definition remaster from original film elements in its original theatrical aspect ratio.

Armitage, a rich scientist, has problems. Not only is his luscious wife being pursued (and caught) by all and sundry, but his laboratory is under threat of industrial espionage. He engages private detectives to protect both his business and his wife, but the service he receives is certainly not what he expected!

Jack & Millie - Complete Series 2

Starring the siblings in the titular roles of Jack and Millie Lemman, it follows an older couple who are fully engaged with contemporary life whilst being at war with the absurdities of the modern world. The show also features Millie's frenemy Shirley - played by Tracy-Ann Oberman, Jack's all-too-easygoing friend Harry (Nigel Lindsay), their high-pressure son Melvin (Harry Peacock) and their high-maintenance (and Catholic) (and French) daughter-in-law Delphine (Jenny Bede).

Spotlight

One Foot In The Grave

One Foot In The Grave

After last month's confirmed news that Victor Meldrew is to return in a new novel, it seems the perfect opportunity to revisit this bona fide British sitcom classic and see where the iconic grump's misadventures began. Written by David Renwick and starring Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie, the first of six series (and 42 episodes) aired in January 1990, seeing Victor turn 60 and find himself unceremoniously made redundant after 26 years as an office block's front desk security guard. Increasingly finding the world seeming to work against him, his bad temper, bad luck and moods soon became legendary, delighting millions of viewers for the following decade. The complete DVD collection - almost 23 hours worth - is less than £20 on Amazon.
