Futtocks End And Other Short Stories

Futtocks End And Other Short Stories

Pre-order. Blu-ray, DVD

A notable presence in the British film industry for several decades and a key director of 1970s film comedies, Bob Kellett also produced four of the funniest short films ever made for British cinema. Starring Ronnie Barker, Richard Briers, Bernard Cribbins, Barbara Windsor, David Lodge, Wilfrid Brambell, Joan Sims and Michael Hordern, these films were "wordless" - their humour carried by performance, sound effects and music - and have all been newly restored in high definition by Network's in-house award-wining restoration team from original film elements in their original as-exhibited aspect ratio.

This new release groups the titles together for the first time: A Home Of Your Own, San Ferry Ann, Futtocks End and Vive Le Sport.

Georgia Pritchett - My Mess Is A Bit Of A Life

Georgia Pritchett - My Mess Is A Bit Of A Life

Pre-order. Hardback

From worrying about the monsters under her bed as a child (Were they comfy enough?), to embracing womanhood (One way of knowing you have crossed from girlhood to womanhood is that men stop furtively masturbating at you from bushes and start shouting things at you from cars), to becoming a mother (Birth is a beautiful thing. If your idea of beauty is a tractor pulling a combine harvester out of your vagina), comedy writer Georgia Pritchett's memoir takes us through a life lived anxiously.

Filled with warmth and humour, insight and honesty, it is a "brilliant meditation on how to live with worry".

Georgia may not be a household name, but check out her credits: we guarantee she's made you laugh.

Blithe Spirit

Out now. Blu-ray, DVD

Best-selling crime novelist Charles (Dan Stevens) is struggling with catastrophic writer's block and a stressful deadline for his first screenplay, whilst his picture perfect second wife Ruth (Isla Fisher) is doing her best to keep him focussed in the hope of fulfilling her dream of heading to Hollywood.

Charles's desperate search for inspiration leads him to invite Madame Arcati (Judi Dench), a medium recently exposed as a fraud, to perform a séance in their home. They all get more than they bargained for when Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of his deceased first wife: the fiery and jealous Elvira (Leslie Mann), who embarks on a mission to kill Charles so she can spend eternity with him - leading to an increasingly comical and deadly love triangle!

Jessie Cave - Sunset

Jessie Cave - Sunset

Pre-order. Hardback, eBook

Sunset is bittersweet love story about putting yourself back together after the sky has fallen in.

Ruth and Hannah are sisters. They build each other up and tear each other down. Even as polar opposites they make each other laugh more than anyone else in the world. Ruth is forever single, aimless and wild while Hannah is radiant, organised and hard-working. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with. But a summer holiday changes everything, and Ruth finds herself entering a long period of self-imposed exile from the world.

Searching for anonymity and facelessness, she takes a job at Heathrow airport serving coffee to a slow-motion carousel of travellers, cabin crew and taxi drivers. But when a face she recognises appears in the blur, she is forced to retrace her steps back to a time when her life had hope and meaning.

Sunset is a novel about needing someone else as much they need you: an ode to our most powerful bonds, how they build us and break us, and how, when all seems lost, we can find joy in the most unexpected places.
