Running for just one series, this sitcom was a rare effort from supremo writers Esmonde and Larbey (The Good Life, Please Sir!, Ever Decreasing Circles, etc) to not gain public traction. Marking its 40th anniversary tomorrow, the comedy looks at 20 year-old footballer Terry Prince and his wife, who are propelled into the big leagues when he's talent-spotted and signed by a major team with a somewhat oddball manager. The Thames Television sitcom is available on DVD. Guide
