The Thin Blue Line
We still love and miss this sitcom, written by Ben Elton. Rowan Atkinson stars as the Inspector at Gasforth Town police station, in a relationship with his desk sergeant, Patricia Dawkins, and constantly not just by hindered by his constables - Goody, Habib and Gladstone - but also by the officious, tiresome bores from C.I.D., Detective Inspector Grim and D.C.s Kray, Boyle and Crockett. We'd recommend anyone watch the series - a perfect time today, as it turns 22 years-old. Guide |

BCG on social media:
Here's a really tough comedy-related question, posed by BCG's Ian Wolf: 'One has switched from fizzy water, with some urgency. Another drowned in the Thames and had a life-jacket placed on his coffin. A third makes a complete mess of things. And a fourth is a name well worth channelling. Where would you have to go, and when, to get your hands on any of them?'. Want the answer? Listen to Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz (9 minutes, 55 seconds in for that question).
