Last night BBC Radio 4 accidentally broadcast the wrong episode of the fantasy sitcom Mordrin McDonald: 21st Century Wizard, transmitting an episode from earlier in the series.

The sitcom focuses on the mundane life of the UK's 19th most powerful wizard and successful Scottish jam maker Mordrin McDonald (played by series co-writer David Kay). Radio 4 was due to broadcast the final episode in the present series, Merlin's Visit, last night but instead wrongly transmitted the second episode in this series, The Root Of All Evil, which was originally heard on 2nd February.

This morning Kay posted on his Twitter account in the guise of Mordrin the following humorous message: "Apologies to listeners who expected to hear Merlin's Visit last night. Some dark magic was involved and Episode 2 went out again instead. Don't tell anyone but it was probably Merlin himself that had something to with it..."
