The BBC3 comedy I'm With Stupid is the latest British sitcom to be re-made for an American audience.

The series, which has just been broadcast here, is about homeless man Sheldon and wheelchair-user Paul who strike up an unlikely friendship after a chance meeting. The comedy follows the daily goings on in Bramble Lodge, the sheltered accomodation in which they live.

The adaptation for NBC is being overseen by some top names. The Farrelly brothers (who's credits include Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary) will direct and produce the pilot whilst Friends writer Wil Calhoun is adapting the script.
