Channel 4 has unveiled six new TV pilots as part of its next Comedy Lab season. Out of the 2008 pilots, five are sketch shows. The other is a sitcom. They are to be shown next month as part of Channel 4's 'New Talent Month', going out alongside new topical series Tonightly and a series of comedy shorts from E4's Funny Cuts strand.

The six pilots are:

Pappy's Fun Club: Described by Channel 4 commissioner Shane Allen as being, "in the spirit of Kenny Everett", this is a mixture of vaudeville and behind-the-scenes footage.

Mr and Mrs Fandango: A sitcom about famous couples starring real-life couple Tom Meeten and Barunka O'Shaughnessy.

Slaterwood: A showcase from Peter Slater, a star of Ideal (Alan the Builder) and a member of the Manchester Comedy Store's The Unbroadcastable Radio Show.

School of Comedy: An adult sketch show performed by a cast of children.

Headwreckers: A combination of sketches and footage of writers meetings, from a Dublin-based team of the same name.

Olivia Lee's Naughty Bits: A prank show from Olivia Lee, star of Balls of Steel.
