The British Tourist Authority (VisitBritain) plans to use locations important to English comedy to attract tourists.

VisitBritain has set up 'ComedyEngland', a scheme which plans to use locations relevant to famous comedians and comedy series. It was inspired to do so after the success of schemes relating to other famous TV series and films such The Da Vinci Code.

The list of locations includes:

- Guildford (Four Weddings and a Funeral)
- Binley Woods, Coventry (Keeping Up Appearances)
- Billericay, Essex (Gavin and Stacey)
- Torquay (Fawlty Towers)
- Holmfirth, West Yorkshire (Last of the Summer Wine)
