Little Britain is one of the British nominees for the 34th International Emmy Awards. It will go head-to-head against Channel 4’s The IT Crowd for the best comedy award. Also nominated in this category are German show, Paare, and The Amateurs (from Brazil). The winner will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton New York Hotel on 20th November.

The UK leads the way with 17 of the 36 shortlisted programmes. Next up are Brazil and Germany with five nominations, France (three), Norway (two) and China, Japan, Netherlands and Sweden (one).
