BBC controller of comedy commissioning Lucy Lumsden has ordered a full series of 'How Not to Live Your Life' following its successful pilot on BBC3 last September.

The pilot, written by and starring comedian Dan Clark, was based on a series of shorts made for the Paramount Comedy Channel. It features Clark as Don, a neurotic, single thirty-something failing to navigate his way through the very basics of life. His biggest enemy is his overactive mind, which plays out countless scenes of things he shouldn't do or say.

Production company Brown Eyed Boy are now making six 30 minute episodes for BBC3.

Meanwhile US network ABC has given Touchstone Television the greenlight to produce a pilot of an American version of the show. The episode is scheduled to be shot early next year provided the Writers Guild of America strike has been resolved by then.
