Kryten launches Red Dwarf competition on YouTube

Tuesday 23rd October 2007, 7:10am

Robert Llewellyn, who played Kryten the robot in Red Dwarf, has launched a new competition on YouTube related to the hit sci-fi sitcom.

The innovative competition, being run by BBC Worldwide in partnership with Grant Naylor Productions, is asking for people to film and post 'creative and clever' reviews of their favourite Red Dwarf episodes. The best one, as judged by the actor, will win director Ed Bye's unique homemade head set that allowed him to see any scene in either 16x9 or 4x3 standard size. There are also DVDs as runner-up prizes.

The competition has been launched to promote the new Bodysnatcher Collection DVD boxset and Just The Smegs DVD, both of which are released next month (click the links to pre-order).

Here is the video introduction to the competition.

See the YouTube page for more details and to watch the entries. The competition closes Friday 9th November 2007.
