Channel 4 is offering viewers the opportunity to see what really happens on the set of Shameless. The fifth series of their hit comedy drama is currently in production, with the 16-episode run being filmed on a purpose-built set.

One lucky competition winner will be given the opportunity to spend a day on the Chatsworth Estate set in Manchester. From make-up to production, and filming to directing, C4 are promising that there will be lots for the winner to see.

To enter, viewers need to visit the Shameless MySpace profile and click on The Mirror's branded feature box. The competition closes on 15 October and entrants must be at least 16 years old. For full terms and conditions, viewers should visit the official Shameless website.

The new series will shown on Channel 4 from January 2008.
