C4 offering the chance of 15 minutes of shame

Thursday 20th September 2007, 9:09am

Channel 4 is offering viewers the unique opportunity to be a part of Shameless, the multi-award-winning comedy drama from acclaimed writer Paul Abbott. One lucky winner will get a role as a walk-on extra in the brand-new fifth series, with the chance to share the screen with the Gallagher clan and the rest of the Shameless cast.

To enter, all viewers have to do is simply head to the Shameless MySpace profile and explain why they should be part of the show. According to the organisers, extra credit will be given to people adding MySpace profile pictures of themselves dressed and styled as one of the characters from the hit programme.

The competition closes on the 24th September so you will need to be pretty sharp about entering. For full terms and conditions, viewers should head to the official site at www.channel4.com/shameless

Following the lawless and loveable characters of Manchester's Chatsworth estate, the fifth series of Shameless is currently in production, with a 16-episode run being filmed on a new purpose-built set. The new series will be broadcast on C4 in early January 2008.
