Avalon Television's brand new scripted comedy series hits our screens on the 20th October. The series has been written by and stars Perrier-winning comedians Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade, creators of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Man to Man with Dean Learner, brings back Richard Ayoade's character Dean Learner (Garth's publisher/manager in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace), a nightclub owner, restaurateur, publisher and international playboy. The format is essentially that of a talk-show, taking place in Dean Learner's own luxury penthouse flat, and will see him interview a range of showbiz 'old friends' over the course of the run (all to be played by Matthew Holness).

Dean Learner adds: "Man to Man with Dean Learner will feature all my remaining celebrity friends, as well as plenty of live music and fine fish-dish cuisine in a show that reeks of class, but not fish!"

Outside of Garth Marenghi, Richard Ayoade is also known for playing the character Moss, in Graham Linehan's sitcom The IT Crowd while Matthew Holness is recognisable as Simon, the IT nerd, in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's The Office.
