Channel 4's The IT Crowd pulled in 3.4 million viewers on Friday night - a dramatic jump of a nearly a million viewers from the series two debut episode last week, and 1.7 million more than the average audience for series one.

Some of the 16% audience share the comedy enjoyed on Friday can no doubt be attributed to the fact the final of Big Brother was on; however the figures still suggest that the audience of Graham Linehan's sitcom is continuing to grow.
