Simon Amstell, host of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, is currently working on a sitcom for BBC Two, based on his own upbringing in a Jewish family.

The series is currently called Grandma's House and is being made by Tiger Aspect, the same company behind The Vicar of Dibley. However, the series has yet to be commissioned by the BBC.

It is believed to be made out of 30-minute episodes, and it has been reported in The Stage that the read-through of the pilot was well received.

It has also been reported that Amstell is creating an entertainment show, also with Tiger Aspect.
