Stewart Lee, the co-creator of the controversial musical 'Jerry Springer: The Opera', is writing a sitcom about Thor, the Norse god of thunder.

The stand-up comedian, writer and director, best known for being one half of the 1990s comedy duo Lee and Herring revealed the news via his web newsletter. An independent production company has apparently commissioned him to write the pilot episode which they are hoping to sell to BBC2.
