Live Ghost Hunt, a innovative new internet comedy format, will take place online this Monday (31st October).

Timed to coincide with Halloween night, the one-off comedy experience spoofing psychic mediums and paranormal investigators will involve audio blogs, photos and videos being posted online between 8pm and midnight, with comedy fans able to interact via email and Twitter - steering the action in the process.

The project is a brainchild of writers and performers Danny Robins and Dan Tetsell, and comedy producer Ben Walker.

Live Ghost Hunt, as the name suggests, centres around a paranormal investigation. Parapsychologist Edwin Griffiths (Tetsell), psychic medium Maurice Smyth (Robins) and their sulky gothic assistant Miriam (Zoe Gardner) will be spending an evening in a location that is reportedly haunted... yet still has good broadband internet coverage. Counting down to midnight, they'll conduct a range of paranormal experiments ("including some really freaky shizzle with a Ouija board") in a bid to make contact with 'the other side'.

At regular intervals throughout the evening the team will be uploading audio blogs, photos and videos of their investigation to www.live-ghost-hunt.com and the audience will be able to interact with the characters via their Twitter streams, steering the action.

Producer Ben Walker says "to the best of our knowledge, this is a comedic web first, an interactive show that unfolds in real time, using the audio-blogging website SoundCloud and Twitter to tell a truly interactive story that is hilarious and scary in equal measure."

As a writing partnership, Robins and Tetsell have won multiple-awards for their work, which includes cult BBC Two series We Are History and Radio 4 sketch show The Museum of Everything. Danny Robins is also known for appearances on shows like BBC Three's Mischief, and for his DJ Danny live shows; whilst Dan Tetsell has appeared in sitcoms like Miranda, and provides voices for various shows, including hit puppet sitcom Mongrels. Ben Walker, who is producing Live Ghost Hunt for Fuzz Productions, is an experienced Radio 4 producer and also behind hit podcasts including Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown and the award-winning As It Occurs To Me.
