The Writers' Guild of Great Britain - the union representing writers in industries from TV to video games and poetry - has announced the nominations for its annual awards.

The comedy nominations are as follows:

Best Radio Comedy
Cabin Pressure - John Finnemore
Fags, Mags And Bags - Sanjeev Kohli and Donald McLeary
Sarah Millican's Support Group - Sarah Millican

Best Television Comedy
Lead Balloon - Pete Sinclair and Jack Dee
Peep Show - Jesse Armstrong, Sam Bain and Simon Blackwell
Rev - James Wood and Jonathan Harvey

Other comedy titles in the running are Attack The Block (Joe Cornish) and Submarine (Richard Ayoade) for Best Screenplay; plus biopic Eric & Ernie by Peter Bowker in the Best Television Short-Form Drama category.

The awards ceremony will be held at Notting Hill's Tabernacle on Wednesday 16th November, and the full list of other categories can be found here
