Jeremy Dyson, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, who together make up The League Of Gentlemen, are set to reunite for a one-off Radio 4 show in which they spend a night in a reportedly haunted house.

It will be the first time the foursome have worked together since the The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse, the 2005 movie which was a spin-off from their BAFTA award-winning comedy show set in the fictional town of Royston Vasey.

Reece Shearsmith announced the reunion on Twitter, saying: "League of Gentlemen news! We are reuniting shortly for a Radio 4 programme in which the four of us are staying overnight in a haunted house! Presumably you listen to our terror."

He also added to clarify: "We are not in character. It's just us four in a reputed haunted house for a night! Let's hope the spooks show up!"

The League Of Gentlemen are known for their black humour and love of horror movies. Last October, Shearsmith recorded a two-part Radio 4 show called Haunted House, and he and Steve Pemberton are now working on a second series of hit 'horror sitcom' Psychoville. Meanwhile, Jeremy Dyson - the fourth member of the group who opts not to perform - is currently working with Andy Nyman on the smash hit West End show Ghost Stories

The new, currently un-titled, Radio 4 show will be recorded after Pemberton and Shearsmith have finished working on the Psychoville Hallloween special, which is currently being filmed. Shearsmith says he is "very excited about it. Been hard to get a date that we all can do. But it's happening shortly after filming ends. End of this month!"
