Comedy produced in Britain once again dominates the nominations for the prestigious international Rose d'Or Awards.

The 2016 sitcom category is made up entirely of British produced programmes, with BBC Two's Episodes and Mum nominated alongside Channel 4's Raised By Wolves for a 'Golden Rose' trophy.

Britain will have won every Sitcom award since the category was added in 2004, with Peep Show, Nighty Night, Extras, Not Going Out, The IT Crowd, My Family, The Inbetweeners, Friday Night Dinner, Spy, Toast Of London and Catastrophe having previously been triumphant in the category.

Meanwhile, in the more general Comedy category, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's comedy drama series Inside No. 9 goes up against Finland's Pyjama Party, and Der Tatortreiniger from Germany.

In the Radio Comedy category, Kayvan Novak's impressions-based series The Celebrity Voicemail Show and the stand-up series Paul Sinha's History Revision will go up against Charles is a Hell of a King from the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, panel show The Museum of Curiosity is nominated in the Talk Show category.

Over 400 programmes from 33 different countries were submitted for this year's awards. The results of the 55th annual awards will be announced at a ceremony in Berlin on the 13th September. Organiser Jeroen Depraetere says: "With such high levels of creativity on show this year our juries have had a tough job selecting the nominees competing to win a Rose d'Or trophy in Berlin. The EBU is proud that once again the Rose d'Or Awards can provide a platform for the world's best entertainment programme makers."
