The Comedians' Choice Awards have returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and are now open for voting.

Honouring shows, performers and people working at the festival, it is the only set of awards to be voted on exclusively by other performers.

Those at the 2022 Fringe can vote now via the awards' website.

For the first time, this year the awards - administered by British Comedy Guide - are also offering an exclusive prize package.

Aside from the kudos of winning, the top 10 most popular shows will be offered the chance to take part in a Comedians' Choice showcase season at The Museum Of Comedy in central London in October, receiving a split of ticket sales. Streaming platform NextUp Comedy will be on hand at a number of the nights at the Museum to record the shows for posterity, with the act receiving a revenue share from the platform.

The venue's David Hardcastle says: "We're very excited at the Museum Of Comedy to be showcasing a season of the best shows at the Fringe as chosen by the people who know comedy the best - the comedians."

Originally created by Barry Ferns as The Barry Awards (UK), the awards launched in 2014. Voting is open until mid-day on Wednesday 24th August.
