Childhood memories can sometimes be blurry but you never forget your first school trip, especially when it turns into a permanent stay in Cote d'Ivoire. Adjusting to a new culture and surroundings can be challenging, but not for this eight-year-old who grew up guilt-ridden because he's the reason his parents split up. Therefore, sending him to a military academy to spend his teen years seems perfectly reasonable. Life in army barracks gives you skills for life, some more useful than others. Plotting weekend escapades and parties downtown whilst remaining anonymous somehow became Trev's forte for survival.
