A much-loved comedian for over 25 years, at the peak of her success Ruby bizarrely jumped ship to gain a master's degree from Oxford in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, then produced two best-selling books - Sane New World and A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled. An unspeakably brilliant one-woman show and world tour followed. In 2015, she received an OBE for services to mental health. Her 2018 best-seller, How to be Human: The Manual, written with a little help from a monk and neuroscientist, is the subject of a new show touring from September.
