Ruffell's life might have been a bit of a sad mess over the last year (featuring a relationship break-up and deaths in the family), but she has funnelled all this into a well-crafted hour of upbeat comedy. Social mobility features strongly, as she jokes about becoming middle class.

Suzi Ruffell returns with a new hour of thought provoking and hilarious stand-up. 'Ruffell has nabbed the working-class comedy crown of her generation... Sparking, energising, fun, an accomplished act who knows how to engage an audience' (Chortle.co.uk). As seen on Channel 4, E4, BBC Three, Comedy Central and Radio 4. 'Ruffell is hilarious' (Skinny). 'A stand-up gem' (Guardian). 'Great talent for hitting you with punchlines you didn't see coming' (ThreeWeeks). Official tour support for Alan Carr and Josh Widdicombe. Nominated Best Breakthrough Act at the Chortle Awards 2017.

How comedians come up with their Fringe shows

The Edinburgh Fringe is a vibrant melting pot of talent, a festival of comedy, theatre and art, and the root cause of many a comedian's filing for bankruptcy and/or the development of severe mental health issues.
