Vivienne Acheampong answers 10 questions about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

I did my first stand-up gig in 2013 and that was quite fun and absolutely terrifying. I did it based on my experiences of working in a school. I entered the Funny Women competition with the show and got to the semi-finals and thought, "Ooh I'll turn it into a character show" - so last year I wrote Rainbow Class! I've performed Rainbow Class at the Hen & Chickens Theatre and the Bush Theatre in London and everyone told me to take it to Edinburgh. And at the moment I'm enjoying it, it's fun.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

1. I'm a Grade 8 trumpet player.

2. I once was a backing dancer for Britney Spears.

3. I had a wee in Sting's house.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

A funny and honest show that is guaranteed to not only make you belly laugh but bring back nostalgic memories of school life!

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

I'm going to use my big hair and my big smile to entice people, and if that doesn't work I'll shout at them like I do at school.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

I haven't got a plan - I've gone to the same Thai restaurant for three days in a row now!

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

My endless supply of kirby grips!

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Seeing lots of amazing shows, lots of walking, and NOT visiting Arthur's Seat cos I did that last time and it hurt.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Danielle Ward, James Acaster, Emma Sidi, Lolly Jones.

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Michael Gove. I can't bear his face.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

It's fun, it's interactive, it's topical, it's a show for everyone that has ever been to school, or knows a school, or has a child in a school... so basically everyone.

'Rainbow Class' is at Assembly Hall at 7:15pm until the 28th August. Listing
