Joe Hart answers 10 questions about his 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show.

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

My first ever gig was in a small student bar in Southampton at the end of 2011, which is almost 5 years ago! I didn't really start gigging though until I graduated and moved to London to "chase the comedy dream" as it were in 2014 so really it's only been a couple of years. When I arrived I was just doing open spots and now I run my own night in London and have performed two solo shows at the Fringe. I'm pretty happy with where I am, I get to make people laugh and make a bit of pocket money while doing it.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself.

I was interviewed by Al Murray about a film I made when I was 12 and I can speak only 1 other language than English but it's fictional.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

An interactive hot mess about the internet and me. You play video games, get digitised live and maybe make a Star Wars film.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

I tried to download some punters for previews, but apparently that technology hasn't quite been invented yet. So my current plan is to flail around outside Teviot dressed in my "costume" making a fool of myself. Therefore giving punters a mini preview of the show.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

My first Fringe I ate every single Subway sandwich possible, which was not only expensive but also unhealthy. My plan is to try and find somewhere that does a meal deal with a salad in it and have that for lunch and dinner. Then promptly have a pint or five around midnight and get a kebab on the way home to begin the cycle again.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

I think video games. I'm getting really into the new Doom and playing some of the old Final Fantasy games, I really hope when I get back I'll be able to jump back in. Since I might have forgotten what I was doing and have to start again.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

This might finally be the year I make it up Arthur's Seat. It probably won't be, but it might be! I'm really looking forward to picking and going to see my "me time film" which is not as naughty as it sounds. Every year around the third week I just need to get away from the art and the passion and the drinking. So I go to a cinema alone and watch a big stupid action romp, it is depressingly often the highlight of my Fringe!

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Basically all my favourites from my regular night in London. In no particular order: Andrew Hunter-Murray, Elf Lyons, Jollyboat, The Storybeast, Bec Hill, Kitten Killers, Lazy Susan.

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Myself from a future timeline who's come back to warn me that if this show goes well the entire world will descend into a great horrific 3rd World War, and the only way to prevent this is to actively try and sabotage my own show. I don't know what I'd do in that situation, but I would probably just still work on the show anyway and just hope future me was mistaken.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Because you get to be digitised into a computer and play video games with yourself! And maybe make a Star Wars film with you in it! Possibly, it might not always work. And isn't that exciting!?
