A hilarious look back at the best period of your life: Canada's award-winning clown sisters Morro and Jasp are at that age where hormones are flaring, telephones are ringing, and the punk rock can never be too loud. As Morro tries to hide from feminine hygiene products bras and fashion, Jasp longs for womanhood and the boy of her dreams.

Morro and Jasp Do Puberty explores the trials and tribulations that we all had to go through, are going through, or are about to go through on the way to becoming a grown-up. 60 minutes of laughter, longing, tears and tampons.

Weaving beautifully observed sketches, founded on their onstage relationship and with interaction from the audience, Morro and Jasp Do Puberty is for anyone (read EVERYONE!) who was ever been at the mercy of their hormones whilst growing up...

Morro and Jasp Do Puberty is the first 'grown up' show for adult audiences in the Morro and Jasp clown series, which is the brainchild of Heather Marie Annis, Byron Laviolette and Amy Lee. They have performed in Halifax, Montreal, London, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, Kitchener, Orillia, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and New York City. They are currently developing a graphic novel, a TV pilot and a video game. Morro and Jasp are also the authors of Eat Your Heart Out with Morro And Jasp which won the 2014 Gourmand World Cookbook Award for "Best Innovative Cookbook".

Up Your Nose and In Your Toes Productions (U.N.I.T) is a non-profit theatre company dedicated to breaking social norms and identifying the flaws that we, as a society, work hard to cover up. The company has been nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards (winning the 2012 Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in the Independent Theatre division), three Canadian Comedy Awards (winning the 2014 Award for Best Variety Act), a Broadway World Award and over ten NOW Magazine Awards including Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Production and Outstanding Ensemble.

Morro and Jasp Do Puberty was an absolute joy. It's one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen at the Edinburgh Fringe. Morro and Jasp are teenage clown sisters who are approaching the age of puberty. Its right before the big school dance - Morro has her first period and doesn't really know how to handle it or the boy on her team who may like her. Jasp is anxiously awaiting her entry into womanhood, and a phone call from the boy she likes, so grows jealous of Morro. But the show is about so much more than that. It is so funny, with jokes appearing naturally, frequently, and from a real place. Morro and Jasp are delightful and lovely people. The humour is sharp, well-timed and varied - it's not all one note. There's a real blend of wit, tongue-in-cheek, sight gags, toilet humour and pop culture references - truly something for everyone, including the men. Everyone in the audience left that performance with joy in their hearts and laughter in their guts. Women and men, old and young alike. Don't miss it.
