Clare is a comedy performer/writer and co-founder of Plested and Brown, an international touring theatre company who devise and perform original and innovative comedy productions which has already had six acclaimed runs at the Edinburgh Festival.

Clare has written and performed in all seven the company's shows to date: Carol Smillie Trashed my Room, The Reconditioned Wife Show, Flamingo Flamingo Flamingo, Hot Pursuit, Minor Spectacular, Health and Stacey and The Perfect Wife Roadshow. She has toured with the company for 10 years across the United Kingdom and internationally in South Korea, Armenia and New Zealand.

She also appeared in Office Party at the Edinburgh Festival 2008 - directed by Cal McCrystal, concept by Christopher Green (Tina C) and Ursula Martinez (La Clique) and worked on a development of an ITV2 comedy pilot with Rob Rouse, directed by Cal McCrystal.

In 2011, Clare debuted her first solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe show - Vegas, Jesus and Me.
