Winner of Ireland's RTE New Comedy Awards, Sean Nolan uses the €5,000 prize to fund his debut Edinburgh show, The Joke Manifesto, a huge collection of non-sequential razor sharp observational one-liners and ingenious witty drawings. Sean possesses a unique and offbeat Irish comedy mind influenced by the great American jokesmiths, Mitch Hedberg, Steven Wright and Demetri Martin, using their inspiration Sean has created his own principles and systems of value for stand-up comedy based on honesty, simplicity and quality and in turn attempts to reconstruct the fine art of the joke.
