Following sold-out shows at the Camden Fringe in 2013, and Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, Sameena will be debuting her new solo show Homocidal Pacifist at Edinburgh Fringe this August.

It is clearly time to cull the human race. Who will be at risk? Politicians? Bankers? People who put the forks in the spoon section of the cutlery drawer? How is a life-long believer in non-violence & (mild) civil disobedience to choose? Well, she's making a list, checking it twice, taking a stand, on what's naughty, what's nice... the culling list is coming to town.

Homicidal Pacifist is a dark and humorous look at the world we live in and who we choose to be.

Amongst stories from 139 acres of hilltop boarding school, living through riots in Mumbai, and a discussion over drinks with god and the tooth fairy, the audience will help create a questionnaire to decide who should be on Sameena's 'let's make the world a better place!' culling list.

A blues singer/songwriter and accomplished actor who has worked at the National Theatre, and toured with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Sameena Zehra has been performing stand-up comedy for just over three years. In that time, she has written and performed two solo shows, which have played the UK fringe comedy circuit. She also runs a travelling comedy compilation night, The Cult of Comedy.
